2. Prenatal Yoga 

 

Prenatal Yoga can be safely practiced from the 14th to 28th week during a normal pregnancy, with the doctor’s consent.

Involves a safe, gentle practice that stretches and tones the body in preparation for childbirth:

 

¨     Provides relief from common pregnancy discomforts like lower back pain, swollen joints, muscle tension

¨     Increases overall strength, flexibility & well-being

¨     Aids in digestion. Relieves heartburn.

¨     Relieves insomnia.

¨     Boost energy, lessen fatigue

¨     Reduces aches & fatigue in the thoracic & cervical regions of the spine.

¨     The pranayams (breathing practices) improve emotional well-being and reduce stress.

¨     Increases the likelihood of a healthy birth

¨     Quicker postpartum recovery

 

3. Postnatal Yoga

 

   Can be started 2-3 months after delivery, with the doctor’s consent.
